A Wet Subject

I was sitting at breakfast this morning when the lovely Linda Sue wandered into the kitchen for her morning coffee, and said to me “have you checked our washing machine hoses lately?”

No, really what she was grumbling, was something about lazy, good for nuthin and cutting grass.

Kidding aside, one of the most destructive things that can happen to your home is water damage, and one of the foremost causes is from a burst line. Washing machine hoses, ice maker hoses, dishwasher hoses, you name it.

When is the last time you even gave your washing machine hoses any thought? I challenge you to get up right now and go look at them. Wrap your hand around it, and twist gently. Does your hand come back black? Does it feel brittle and hard? Any rust or crud around the metal parts? See any cracking?

Did you know, over 80% of all washing machine hoses need replacing at any one time. Good chance yours do right now.

Just think about this, lay your garden hose in the middle of your living room, turn it on and leave for an hour or two, and see what damage it would do. Scary isn’t it? I have seen damages in the thousands, and all due to old hoses!

So make it a plan right now to inspect and replace those hoses. Call your plumber today, go to the store today, and call someone today! Don’t let this go 1 more minute.

By the way, I am running a special on hoses, because this is such an important issue.
